Office of the Sergeant at Artillery 
The Sergeant at Arms is an officeholder of the House elected during the start day of each Congressional Session. Wilson Livingood, a thirty-one yr veteran of the United states Undercover Service, was elected as the 36 th Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives on January 4, 1994 for the 104th Congress.

Congenital on a tradition of professionalism and meeting the ever changing challenges of the time to come, the Sergeant at Artillery' Office of the The states House of Representatives moves as i to ensure the safe and security of all Members of Congress, their staff, and visiting world leaders.
Our Mission Statement
The Sergeant at Artillery Function supports the security activities and elective services of the U.S. House of Representatives by:
- administering the physical security of the U.s. Capitol, its grounds, and the House Function Buildings through the Function of Police Services , Office of Garages and Parking Security , Office of Identification Services , and the Office of Chamber Security ;
- maintaining society and decorum, and ensuring the adherence to the Rules of the House, in the House Bedchamber through the Role of Chamber Security ;
- providing organizational and logistical support to ensure the safety and security of Members attending special events both on and off Capitol grounds;
- coordinating security efforts for world leaders when visiting the Capitol and its Firm Office Buildings.
Responsibilities of the Sergeant at Arms
The Sergeant at Arms has been tasked to review and implement all security issues related to the Congressional Leadership, all Members of Congress, and the physical security of the Capitol and Firm Office Buildings. As Sergeant at Artillery, I oversee security on the Business firm Flooring and Gallery, the Visitors Desk, Garage and Parking Security, and administrate the distribution of all staff and Members' identification badges.
The Business firm Sergeant at Arms serves, along with the Senate Sergeant at Arms and the Architect of the Capitol, on the Capitol Constabulary Board and the Capitol Guide Board. The Capitol Police Lath acts as a liaison and policy board with the Capitol Police Department, ensuring the security of Members, the Capitol grounds, and office buildings. The Capitol Guide Lath oversees the Capitol Guide Service which offers costless Capitol tours to any interested visitors. Additionally, the Business firm Sergeant at Arms serves as a member on the Capitol Page Board, the board of the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Federal Police Enforcement Preparation Centre in Glynco, Georgia.
The Part of the Sergeant at Arms is composed of six distinct divisions. The divisions are broken downwardly equally follows: Assistants , Special Events/Protocol , Police Services , Identification Services , Chamber Security , and House Garages and Parking Security .
